Many people living with disability have not had access to genuinely inclusive swimming environments. This program exists to change that.

$119 for the full four-week program, not covered under NDIS plans. We may be able to assist with getting to and from sessions if your plan allows under core funding.

Water Safety

Learn the essential water safety skills that build real independence in and around the water. From safe entry and exit to floating, breathing and confident movement, every skill is taught at a pace that suits the participant. These are life skills that carry well beyond the pool.

Confidence

Confidence grows when people feel safe, supported and free from pressure. Our sessions create a calm and welcoming space where participants can try, progress and celebrate small wins in their own time. That comfort in the water has a way of showing up in everyday life too.

Connection

Swimming is social. Through shared sessions participants build friendships, routine and a genuine sense of belonging. Being part of a welcoming group brings connection and community that lasts well beyond each class.

Sessions are delivered by qualified swim instructors with inclusion and accessibility training, alongside a team experienced in supporting people with disability in safe and supportive environments.

All instructors hold the AUSTSWIM Teacher of Aquatics - Access and Inclusion qualification.

Thryv Swim is $119 for the full four-week program. This is a fee-for-service program and the cost is not covered under NDIS plans.

The cost of the four-week program is not covered under NDIS plans. If your plan includes core funding, we may be able to assist with getting you to and from sessions. Get in touch and we'll talk through what's possible for your plan.

The program is open to people of all ages and all disability types. All experience levels are welcome, from those who have never been in a pool to confident swimmers looking to build new skills.

No. The program is designed for all levels. Whether you have never been in the water or are already comfortable swimming, there is a place for you.

Participants may be able to use Core or Capacity Building funding to access in-session support. Contact us to discuss your plan.

Yes. Support workers are welcome to attend alongside participants.

Yes. All sessions run at Rackley Swimming facilities with accessible entry, change rooms and pool access.

Swimwear, a towel and any personal swim aids. Pool equipment is provided.

Our team connects with each participant beforehand to understand their needs, goals and any accessibility requirements.
